Hot Cross Brand Story

The rational between naming Hot Cross “HOT CROSS” is because it’s a play on two concepts: cross-chain and “sweetness” (or a suite of tools).

It is universally known that Hot Cross Buns are a favorite food among people who celebrate Good Friday; we wanted to capture the essence of a bun because it’s sweet, and HOT CROSS is building a suite of multi-chain tools, which is represented by the name “Cross”.

There is no deep relevance to the term “Hot” on a standalone context and thus we went for a cooler color palette that was more welcoming and inclusive to all blockchain users and teams.
